Good food, service wasn't bad. Probably the best Mexican food I've had in the area.

Short wait, very busy, friendly staff, food is amazing, extremely fast from ordering to food arriving at table, would absolutely recommend, and will definitely return!!

I’ve been going to this place for probably 8 years now, and they’re consistently good. The fajitas and salsa are always delicious, and they’re very quick. They’ll also do unusual substitutions if you have dietary restrictions, which I appreciate.

We like the food a lot and the gold margaritas are good. We've been going just about once a week for a year now. The last 4 or 5 times we've been billed for food we didn't order... like an extra margarita or cheese dip. The first time we didn't notice until we got home. The next few times it's happened have started to feel intentional... just to see if we're paying attention. We'll try somewhere else for a little bit now.UPDATE: We’ve been back several times since this happened 7 months ago, we really do like the food. We have not had a problem with our bill since and the service has been great. Updated review to 5 stars.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! BOTH THE HOST AND WAITER HAD THE NASTIEST ATTITUDES, BUT THEY WERE FRIENDLY TO ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS, WE WERE VERY POLITE TO THEM....I WILL NEVER BE BACK OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!

El Ranchito is my best mexican food restaurant in The Jackson area. Located in Madison, they offer good dishes, excellent and fast service. Try the margaritas. They are delicious!!

Great place to get some good, wallet-friendly food! The food here is always outstanding! Their cheese dip is to die for! But be prepared to wait if you come during the weekend! It’s always super packed but the wait is definitely worth it! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, generous drink specials!! I would highly recommend checking out this one if you’re in the area!!!

Ordered the Chimichanga and it was half filled and half rolled. Very disappointing. How can you mess up a chimichanga??? Its literally meat rolled up in a flour tortilla. I passed like 3 Mexican restaurants to come here, and the food is just as good elsewhere. Wont be back.

Highly recommend!!! $7.55 lunch fajita with steak, chicken and shrimp, can’t beat it. Best service and food that I’ve found in a long time! Will definitely be back.

The food and the service was great!

Absolutely disgusting. We barely got our waters when a cockroach crawled right by my wife in our booth. We got up and left. This place and other establishments in this shopping center have a roach infestation problem and should be shut down. Behind the building, the owners are keeping food products including vegetables in a pods storage container that was left open to the elements. We saw rats running around in the back as well. This place needs to be shut down asap until they can get some kind of cleanliness in order and deal with their infestation issue. Please avoid this place for your own health!

Disgusting. Was here a few days ago. This restaurant was filthy. Dirt and trash under every table, dirty booth and table, a staff standing around even when a table needed to be cleaned and clearly the entire place needed cleaning. I imagine they were not clean before COVID-19, and to see this just after everyone reopens was appalling. Never will go here again. Not to mentioned they couldn't get my beef, bean, and cheese burrito order correct.

El Ranchito is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Mississippi. I've been a regular for 15 years or so and know many of the staff by name and have become quite close with a few of them. When you go, ask for Luis or Moses or Esteban! The food is just as good every single time I go, and I have never once been disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, the service is lightning fast, and the only downside is the parking due to it being in a strip mall. On weekend nights, it gets very difficult to find a parking spot nearby. It's worth it though!

Great Mexican food that appeals to almost everyone. If you want more traditional Mexican this place has it. If you like more Americanized Mexican food you can get that here as well. They also have great beer prices. $4.99 for a liter of Dos Equis is amazing

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Madison. The food is excellent and well priced. The drink specials are fantastic and I always enjoy their chips and salsa.

Always really good food and service. We had a party of 12 and they accommodated us and got the food out fast. The left side of the restaurant is a little crowded though, but not a big deal

Shrimp Quesadilla was excellent!!

Chips were lightv and crispy, salsa and cheese deep were excellent. Food was pretty good. Barely saw our server which put a little damper on the experience.

The food is okay, but the service is always terrible. Waiting for ten minutes with no chips and no drinks as our cheese dip gets cold on the table. Same thing has happened the last 3 times we have eaten here. Had to find another server to get our check last time because our server could not be found.

Better check your bags on to-go orders! Second straight to-order they left items out. When I called to let them know...they said they did not ring-up the missing item so "no problem...you were not charged for it". I had them repeat the order back to me when I placed it. Hope they straighten this issue out...starts with caring though.

I stopped by here for lunch. The service was friendly and fast. I order a chicken and rice dish with a spicy nacho cheese sauce. I enjoyed it. I was pleasantly surprised that I had ordered the Special for that day. The prices were good and the food was delicious. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

Molcajete was good, shrimp coctel was pricey $12 for a few shrimps. The sauce for the coctel was way too sweet. Our server came by once and never came back. He kept coming to the table behind us which were a Hispanic family. We hardly got any service. Never refilled our drinks, didn't give us an extra plate for our food, gave us cold tortillas. We ordered a giant thing of food and it only cane with 3 small tortillas. When we asked for more, he never told us that there was a $1 charge for it. They're so cheap, never coming back.

Soooo good. A perfect experience. The food was so rich and seriously affordable. Will be back. Splendid.

This place was wonderful! Great service, delicious food. We happened to be there on Tuesday night, for "2 cocktails for the price of one" event, and that was a big bonus too. How can one not get a 5 star review after that? ;)

We have been going for years on an almost weekly basis. Obviously we love it. The wait staff treats us like family and from observation treats everyone that way. Food is awesome as well.

Went here with a party of 9. Excellent service. Our entire order was correct and the food was fresh and delicious. 2 for 1 margaritas are great! Multiple servers checked on us throughtout our visit to make sure everything was good. Have been here several times now and will definitely be back!

Best Mexican restaurant that I have found since I left California. I have not found a decent, authentic, friendly and beautiful restaurant with awesome.servers and employees for over a year! Yes I recommend this place. The food and environment is absolutely awesome.

A "local person" mentioned this restaurant. The food was good and plentiful. The carnitas were flavorful. The other dish is a tremendous amount of food for one person. If you aren't very hungry you should definitely inquire about portion size. LOL!

The fajita nachos are delicious and the salsa is amazing. Overall a very nice restaurant.
